Kuaripass Snow Trek

Kuaripass trek - Lord curzon trail
From ancient time this trail is used by shepherd for grazing animal and also route to reach Ramnagar in Kumaon region and is also knows as the Curzon trail. The pass lies at an altitude of 3876 m. The trek passes through Pristine Rhododendron, oak, and deodar forest covered in layers of snow. The peaks of Kamet, Dronagiri, Trishul, Bertholi, Hathi Ghodi Parvat, Mana and Neelkanth all stand majestically. The Kuari pass trek is a great choice for beginners as well as well trained trekkers. Since the trail of the trek is not very tough the beginners have a chance to learn all about trekking and experience the Himalayas.

Day 01: Arrival at Rishikesh - Joshimath (251km/ 8hrs)

After having breakfast drive to Joshimath. En-route have a sightseeing of Rudraprayag (confluence point of Alaknanda and Mandakini river) Karnaprayag (confluence point of Alaknanda and Pindar river) Nandprayag (confluence of Alaknanda river and Nandakini river). On arrival check- in hotel. Evening free for leisure.
Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Joshimath 

Morning after breakfast proceed for your sightseeing tour which includes Narsingh temple, Vasudev temple, Shiva temple and 2000yr old Kalp-Vriksh. Later drive to Auli -famous winter destination you can enjoy chair lift ride, snow skiing or adventure vehicle and many more activity on direct payment. Overnight at hotel Joshimath 

Day 03: Joshimath – Tugasi village – Guling (trek 3km/ 4hr) Alt 2900m

Morning after breakfast drive to Tugasi village. It’s a charming little village, just have some rest near old ruin of water mill and you can have some tea and snacks at local village shop and where you’ll get a glimpse of the traditional way of life of the locals. From here we will ascend to Guling camp, it’s not a steep ascend, but walking uphill. On arrival have tea and snacks at camp. Evening rest and overnight stay in tent.

Day 04: Guling – Kuaripass – Khulara (trek15 km/ 11hr) Alt 3900m

Today after hot breakfast we will follow trail again which will led us to best himalayan amphitheatre- Kuari top from where you can have a glimpse of 7000 m Club peak like Nanda Devi (7817m) Kamet(7756m) Trishul 7120m, Chaukhamba (7128m) and many small peaks. It will be long day today all trail is covered with snow and we will pass through dense oak forest. On reaching top we will have our lunch and rest. You can do photo shoot of 360 degree of Himalaya panorama. Later we will descend to our camp Khullara. Evening free. Overnight stay in tent.


Day 05: Khulara - Auli – Joshimath (trek 8km/ 7hr) Alt 1800m 

Start your morning with hot camp tea, have breakfast and ready for trek to Auli. We will cross Taali Dhar which is very narrow and dangerous to cross if too much snow. (If heavy snow on trail than we will trek to Tugasi and drive back to Joshimath). Crossing this Dhar we will reach in Gulshan valley and descend down to Auli. Have some tea and snacks here in local shop. Later drive to Joshimath. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06: Joshimath – Rishikesh (251 km 7hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Transfer to railway/ airport to board your flight/train to onward journey
